About Me
In 2002, I founded Green Ground Zero and became the primary force in establishing the organization's international presence. I hosted Built Green TV, a television/webcast series that brought experts within the green industries to have in-depth, spirited conversation about the past, present and future of environmental subjects.
From 2004 to 2006, I served as the CEO and President of Chambers Design, Inc. The design company focused on ecological design with projects ranging from city/master planning, architecture, consulting and renewable energy technologies. My work includes more than 3.3 million square feet of green building space within New York City and around the world. I have been involved with shaping environmental policy, advising elected officials on effective ways to create environmental change. I am an adjunct professor at New York University where I teach green design and environmental policy in the Gallatin School of Individualized Studies.
In September 2006, Chambers Design, Inc. merged with two other companies to form inFORM Studio to continue a commitment to architecture and the environment. I now serve as the Director of Sustainability for the company, overseeing the integration of green design into all projects with a staff of more than 40 people with offices in South Carolina, Detroit and NYC.
I lecture around the world with notable talks given at the First Summit of The Network of Regional Governments for Tsunami Redevelopment in Lake Toba, Indonesia, United Nations World Urban Forum in Barcelona, Spain, the World Congress of Architecture and USGBC Conference in Pittsburgh. I am a board member of the Coastal Carolina University Sustainability Initiative and a contributing author for treehugger.com.
