Pkolino Book Buggee

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

Popsicle stick inspired legs on chairs, a toddler bed that converts to a chair, a “Book Buggee“…yes, the folks at Pkolino certainly know how to make efficient, practical, and kid friendly modern tot furniture. After spending many days attached to my three year old niece (we are good buddies) I have come to appreciate the height of a toddler and the furniture that fits their needs (while also looking good and saving space!). Since I read far too many stories over the past 10 days I think the most appropriate gift I can give my little gal pal is the book buggee. What a treasure! (via Design Public)

olli & lime Art Poster - Little Egg in Teal

First to recommend

Description

olli & lime is about design without compromise -- producing children's bedroom furnishings without conforming to the "fluffy" stereotype. Style-conscious parents will feel proud to place olli & lime's selection of bedding and room decor in their kid's bedrooms. Believing in high-quality manufacturing, while respecting the environment, olli & lime take all the usual steps; using recycled materials, and recycling what they use, whatever possible. Lucky Jade Tree Cotton Cashmere Blanket in Chocolate

Description

Although the Lucky Jade Tree Cotton Cashmere Blankets are intended for kids/baby I think I might have to spring for one for myself and get a pile to use as gifts. Seriously, these blankets are awesome. (via Design Public)

Boodalee Trees Surface Graphics - White

First to recommend

Description

The decal trend is really quite perfect for kids/babies. They are such a fun way to decorate the walls while also leaving the option open to take them down once baby grows up. I am smitten by the simplicity of the Boodalee Tree Wall Graphics...white is the way to go! (via Design Public)

Amenity Nursery - Wetlands Organic Toddler Bedding

First to recommend

Description

Amenity Nursery’s Wetlands Organic Toddler Bedding uses browns, yellows, ducks, and frogs to compose a complete organic nursery set for your child. The colors and animal characters evoke some of the greatest children’s literature that have inspired both children and adults for decades. A Frog sitting deftly on a log in the Wetlands strikes a resemblance to the languid marsh lifestyle of the Wind in the Willows. The Amenity Wetlands theme of Ducks, geese and grass, remind us of the burrows under which Beatrix Potter and friends would gather in Helen Beatrix Potter’s Classic Tales. Dress your child’s bedroom complete, or select whichever items suit their fancy, as all pieces are now sold individually or as a set. Amenity Nursery covers Woods, Woodlands, and Wetlands, who can tell what type of lands they will cover next! (via Design Public)

DwellStudio Home Geometry Shower Curtain

First to recommend

Description

Dwellstudio Home Geometry Shower Curtains remind us that the home bathroom is an underrated place in our lives. Its role in is essential, yet many find themselves frequenting the most mundane room in their house. Some try to personalize the space and with little effort find themselves looking at the same random pictures that tellingly qualify as “bathroom art”. These are usually the pieces that were not quite good enough to make it to the ‘important’ areas, and those which simply cannot be parted with. Dwellstudio’s new Geometry Shower Curtain will let you shed those pieces and focus on what’s important-spicing up the places that count. The Geometry Pattern appeals to children who make out space ships and interesting shapes from the array of dark and light colors, and to adults who have an affinity for the fun new wave Geometrics of the 1980’s. Make a statement without saying too much…

Rudie Raccoon

2 people recommended this item

Description

It was hard to decide which Donna Wilson Creature to feature. There was a close tie between Edd Red Head, (the most bombastic red headed toy ever seen), and Rill, a fire colored fox with eyes like a bandit. But my true favorite of the bunch is Rudi Raccoon (pictured far right in photo). His awkward little body and white eyes would make the perfect office friend, play companion, or gift. Those who may not see love at first sight, try recalling Michel Gondry’s recent film “Science of Sleep”, where handmade creatures and playful art form character’s dreams and realities. Donna Wilson creates caricatures of animals and indescribable species each stuffed with personality by the hand of the artist. Still, It’s as if she put a pile of colored socks in a blender and the creatures came out on their own accord, forming a different sect of society. Donna Wilson’s Rudi Raccoon and other friends can be found right here at Design Public! (via Design Public)
